Saturday:

So...the rash is back. Again, and it's pretty bad. I called my cloth diapering guru friends to get their advise and Brielle (who was at Annabelle's birth) recommended 'stripping' my diapers. She said to soak them in vinegar over night and then do a couple rinses on hot and then a wash on hot. So...instead of buying a whole pack of disposables, we've decided to just use receiving blankets. I know that sounds weird, and it did to me at first until I googled it, and it's actually quite common. Especially for parents who use the flat diapers like we do. So that's what she has been using, as well as going on the potty much more. I'm tellin' ya', this rash is going to force us potty train her!

As the kids ate dinner, I decided to do some sewing and make a couple slings. Doing this, I found out, I really need some practice sewing in a straight line. I don't think I could sell anything yet that has straight line sewings, unless I miraculously get the thread to match the fabric so well that you can't see the thread. I first made a lime green one that I had Phillip try on with Liam and he said he liked it, more than the wrap, but he didn't like the color. "Maybe if it was black or something." He said, and maybe with Annabelle. Little did he know, I had a whole bolt of charcoal fabric which took me 5 minutes to make into a ring sling. He said it was masculine enough for him to use. YAY! Not that I don't love baby wearing, but it's just so cute to see my hubby with my baby worn on him.
