Tuesday:
Liam is feeling better today, so Annabelle is much happier too. They are playing like normal, laughing and carrying on. Annabelle also found much joy romping through my dust pile as I swept. This is highly aggravating to me. That and her fixation with eating the dog food and playing in the water. Liam has even picked up, "NO Anbel Mae. You cannot do that. Don't go there. Don't eat Honey food." She doesn't listen to him either. She just looks at whoever is talking to her and just grins and smiles. Liam has started to mimic me there too in saying, "It's not funny Anbel." That is actually kinda funny though.
I have also noticed that she really doesn't care about signing. I thought after yesterday she would, but nope. When she has to go potty, she comes over and grunts. She did this a few times over a couple minutes and I ignored her and sure enough, she started to pee on the floor. That's what I get for not listening to her. So, all day, she's been grunting and each time I have taken her, she's peed. That's a good sign. I really hoping to be done with diapers soon.

Monday:
Liam is sick today, mainly just a temperature and upset tummy, so I'm hoping Annabelle doesn't catch it. Annabelle is kinda beside herself. I don't think she understands why Liam isn't wanting to play an
d is just laying on the couch. She's used to him chasing her, yelling and screaming with her, laughing, throwing toys, but today, he's out of commission. I think she noticed he was down so she went over to him on the couch and kept trying to give him her binky. It was one of the most precious things. It's almost like she was like, "Here, this makes me feel better, why don't you have it." Liam would take it and then give it back to her, and then she'd hand it right back to him. I put her down for nap at the same time as Liam and she fell asleep while I rocked both of them and then I put her right in her bed. She slept pretty long, about 3 hours. Even after nap, Liam was still pretty out of it. I bet she's hoping she gets her playmate back tomorrow.
At lunch though, I think Annabelle signed for the first time. She grunted and reached out her hand and signed 'Milk', and I asked her if she wanted milk, which I had a feeling she didn't. I then asked her if she needed to potty and signed 'potty' as I said it, and then she wiggled her fist. I took her to the bathroom and she went! Hopefully this is a sign that she will start signing. At least she is learning the value and concept of communication.

Sunday:
We went to church this morning, and Annabelle went to her class, and before long I peeked in the window and she was asleep. We came home, had lunch and then napped.
We hit a record high in Austin today, 112 degrees! To beat the heat, we decided to go outside and play in the sprinkler. Annabelle loved it! I took a blanket out to lay on the ground so she would have something soft to sit on, but she showed
little interest in sitting on it. She more so wanted to cruise around the lawn on her hands and feet. Phillip and I both took turns chasing her down. It wasn't long before she was soaking wet with grass and other front yard vegetation all over her. She also liked chewing on the water hose. She has a tooth coming in on the bottom, and I think that probably felt really nice to her. The blanket would fill up with puddles of water and then she and Liam would go and splash in them. The sprinkler would fan back and forth from the blanket to the yard and Annabelle would just sit on the blanket and let it rain on her over and over. She's such a water baby. After about an hour or so, she was ready to come in. She slept very well that night too.

Saturday:
I'm not going to get into nap today. It wasn't good. With Annabelle, it was pretty much the same, and I'm just hoping one day, it won't be a hassle or aggravating when I have to get up to tend to a baby.
Daniel came over today just before nap with presents from Rayne for Liam's birthday. Annabelle loves the book Rayne got Liam. It's a recording of Rayne reading a Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Story. Liam doesn't like that she likes it and when they were both looking at it standing next to the couch, Annabelle tried to take it away. I suggested Liam get another book for her, and he took the Twinkle Twinkle book and put it on top of the couch where she couldn't get it and then sat back down. She didn't like this. She screamed and yelled. After I found out Liam had no more interest in reading the book, simply didn't want her to have it, we had a talk and Annabelle got the book back and all was happy.
It's been a long week. I wish it were cooler so that we could get out of the house more. Hopefully soon.

Friday:
Nap time was nothing short of parental torture for me. I think it started with Annabelle having a 45 minute nap in the morning around 11:00. So, I thought, I'd just put them down together a little later and hopefully, both nap together. I put Annabelle down around 1:30, which meant after her bottle it was around 2:00. Keep in mind, her crib is still in our room. Liam goes down in his bed, and I lay down in mine to rest. I hear Annabelle cry and it's 2:30. Not cool. So I try to put her back down, and she screams and yells. I finally get her to calm down, let her droopy eyes close shut, and her binky began to drop out of her mouth, Liam comes in, having only napped half an hour was very whiny and cranky and immediately, Annabelle is up again. I get Liam settled in my bed, and tell him if he is in here, he has to be quiet and still so I can get Annabelle back to sleep. He lays there, still and quiet.
Each time I lay Annabelle back down, she cries. So I take her to her room and rock her. There were probably a thousand moments that I thought she was on the brink of sleeping, and then shattering my hopes, would pop her eyes open wide and look around, make noise, etc. All I wanted was sleep. It was one of those moments where you would really pay someone to come over and just hold your baby so you could sleep. To the point of tears almost (which I've been at before.) After an hour in the rocking chair, I gave up. I went in to the bedroom to check on Liam and he laid there, with his eyes wide open. So we got up. I called Bonny, a mom friend who has two little ones and asked if she wanted to go out for coffee as I needed to get out of the house. She had rough morning too, so we decided to meet up at her house instead. I don't see how single moms do it. They must have a lot of mom friends.

Thursday:
I really would like my kids to co-sleep. I think it would make all our lives easier. For whatever reason, they won't. Either of them. They just don't sleep. Annabelle woke up a few times, and after about half an hour of trying to get her back down, I brought her in bed with me. One would think she would sleep, all cuddly next to Mom, but no. She wiggled, sat up, crawled around, laid down, cooed, gabbered, and at one point kicked me in the head, which was enough for me to make the transition back to her bed. She didn't take that nicely. It wasn't long till we were trying it again, and finally, with Dad cuddly next to her, she fell asleep. Then Liam came in and there truly wasn't enough room for all of us in the positions we were sleeping in. So I moved her back to her bed, which she slept the rest of the night.
At nap today, I thought she would sleep long, but she woke up in a great mood and we played for about an hour together while we waited for Liam to wake up. She is really into Liam's farm with the cow, goat, horse, farmers, etc. She likes to put them in the silo and then open the door on the bottom to take them out. She also is super into trucks. She will crawl around with one in hand rolling it as she goes. It's quite cute. Liam has one of those big rig trucks that carries other cars, and she likes to put cars in that as well. Also other toys. When Liam woke, he joined us, and then once Annabelle started destroying our block city for our cars, we headed out to run some errands before a fight started. They each took their car with them.

Wednesday:
Today at the grocery store, I wrapped Annabelle with the hip carry instead of the front carry, and I like that a lot better. I think she did to. She kinda faces out, and she's not covered with so much fabric, so I'm betting she is cooler. We only had to go to two store, so that was nice.
After dinner, it was bath time. Like usual, I bathe Annabelle first, and then Liam. While Liam is bathing, Annabelle likes to grab toys out of the bathtub. This time, a toy was a little out of her reach and she ended up taking a nose dive into the tub. I think it scared me more than her, and she did come out with a couple coughs and soaking shirt. It didn't teach her much as she went right back to it again. Liam put his hands up this time stopping her from getting any closer to the water and handed her the toy she wanted. How sweet. After another change of clothes for her, she had her bottle and went to bed.

Tuesday:
We went out to eat at Trudy's today, and I ordered Annabelle some beans to eat, black beans to be exact. The waitress asked me if I was sure I wanted black beans, and I said yes, not thinking there was anything to that question. She brought the beans, and after I cooled some off, gave them to Annabelle. She ate a few, then after a couple more, each time she ate one, her face would turn red and she would yell. Phillip and I had both been eating salsa, so to us, the beans weren't spicy at all. I asked the waitress if the black beans were spicy and she said, "Yes, that's why I wasn't sure you really wanted them." Nice to know now. I think she may have not been taking into consideration that not everyone eats at Trudy's everyday. I then ordered pinto beans, which Annabelle ate just fine. She began to get pretty restless sitting in her high chair, so I let her stand on the booth next to me. She would turn around and look at the people behind us, which really seemed to aggravate Phillip. I told him that I wasn't going to pick that battle, and people should understand what it means to come to a family restaurant, there will be babies and they will cry, and inevitably stare at everyone gaining as much attention as possible. We ordered dessert, and while Phillip leisurely ate his cheesecake flan, I inhaled my brownie a la mode as Annabelle twisted and turned from my lap to beside me and Liam leaned over me snagging bites of my ice cream and brownie. It kinda made me laugh at how opposite a typical mom is to a typical dad when it comes to going out. A dad thinks, 'Let's have a nice, calm, leisurely dinner where we don't disturb anyone else.' A mom thinks, 'Yay! I don't have to cook or clean!' and that's enough for her! That's me and Phillip anyway. At least my expectations never fall short of the the true experience.
On the way home, I heard Liam telling Annabelle 'Thank You' over and over again in the same tone of voice she says it and I look back to sees their two little hands reaching out towards each other, grasping each others' fingers as they giggled away. One of the sweetest things I think I have seen so far in my life as a Mother.

She is the sweetest little girl. After her nap today (which she woke up dry and went on the potty), she and I laid down on the futon that is still laid out in her room and Liam came to join us. As soon as she saw Liam her face lit up and she crawled over me and onto him and put her face to his. I think she wanted to love on him, but he wasn't ready for that. Liam is much more a slow waker like I, and Annabelle more like Phillip. You can easily see the love she has for her brother. It's so cute to sit back and see their relationship grow.

Sunday:
We went to church today, and of when I picked up Annabelle from her class, I thought I'd give it a go having her potty on the toilet there. They have these cute little miniature toilets for the preschool, and I put her on it without the seat. It took her a bit, but she went! I think she was more distracted by Liam washing his hands and that's what takes her little longer. We got home, had lunch and then the kids napped. Annabelle went down without her binky, which I'm hoping to do more often so that we can get her off the binky. It'd be nice to not have to get up in the middle of the night and rummage around her room in the dark trying to find it half asleep with a crying baby. Yeah, that'd be nice.
I found a video of a hip carry with the baby wrap, and I think I am going to start carrying Annabelle in it that way. Less cloth covers her and me, and she can face forward a little bit too, which she likes. It's also a lot more comfortable than a ring sling, another perk.

Today was the last day of the Baby Expo, and I was glad because by the end of the day I really missed the kids. I got home and the kids were also very glad I was home too. Annabelle and I were playing a game where we handed each other a toy back and forth and each time she handed it to me I would exclaim, "Thank You!" is a sing-songy voice. I almost think she tried to repeat it. Almost. Maybe. But it's always hard to tell.

Friday:
I had a Baby Expo event today so my parents came out to watch the kids. I was a little unsure if they would do the potty thing, but they did and they said she only used a diaper at nap. I'm so proud of her. I maybe a little bit of her being potty trained is really just being proud of myself as a mom, which I see nothing wrong with. As Annabelle reads this when she is older, she may be a mother and I want to encourage her that anything she can find that makes her feel stronger as a mother should not be done with guilt. Of course, she will hopefully also see the moments of humor, stress, and love as mother as well by reading this.

Thursday:
I decided it was high time to clean the house, specifically mop since there were particles of food solidified onto the kitchen floor under Annabelle's high chair of unknown origins. So, I swept and mopped and thought I had blocked off the kitchen well enough so Annabelle couldn't get in, and thought I had entertained her enough by giving her a banana to eat while she was in the living room. When I got done with the kitchen, I look up and see her sliding/crawling across the floor to me. I pick her up, and notice she has banana mush between her fingers. I looked on the floor the direction she crawled from and she had mashed her banana into the floor and left a gooey trail behind her as she crawled. Yum. Luckily it was still gooey, so mopping wasn't a problem. It's really hard to get stuff done with her, she is absolutely into everything.
I next wanted to get my slings cut that I am making before nap so that I could sew during nap. Each time I laid it down to flatten it, Annabelle would crawl on top like it was a mat and bunch it all up. Finally after about half an hour I got three of them cut. Yeah, that would be 1 rectangle piece of fabric cut every 10 minutes. Not fun. I thought about sewing while the kids ate, but realized that would be best left to doing during nap.

Wednesday:
The kids and I went to Target this morning, and then to the grocery stores, and I was glad I got out before 9:00, even though I was out past 11:00. Its so hot right now, I can't remember the last day it has been less than 100 degrees. This summer has been brutal, so I really try to do all my out-goings in the morning. I can't wait till fall when it's cooler and the kids and I can have more park days.
Anyway, I gave Annabelle a bottle while we were at Target and today, I brought the potty seat along with me to give it a try. I tried at Target, and she didn't go. I was surprised though that she didn't show any kind of meekness during her sitting and 'trying'. I put her dry diaper back on and then we went to the grocery stores. At Sunflower, I decided to try again. Her diaper was still dry, and I put her on, and she peed! Liam and I were both very proud of her! Liam also had to go, which I found out taking two kids potty in the middle of a shopping trip is easier said than done.
After I the kids went potty, and I got their hands washed and out of the bathroom, I put Annabelle in the front of the cart instead of the wrap, and I'm beginning to realize how heavy she is. I fell much lighter when I don't have her strapped to me. Not that I don't enjoy it. I love baby wearing and everything, but there is a certain feeling of liberation when you take your baby out and the wrap off after carrying your baby all day. I noticed tonight my feet hurt pretty bad too. Maybe I'll take up putting her in the front of the cart every now and then.

Tuesday:
This morning I ran an errand, and I ogt about 10 minutes away from the house and realized I had forgotten her bottle. She let out a little fuss, and then I decided I better turn turn back and go get it. I did, and she was happy, and I was happy I turned around.
At nap, I tried to get all my wraps cut so that I could have them to sell this weekend. Annabelle woke up as I was finishing up and each time I laid down the six yards of fabric, she would crawl onto it, and crawl up and down it like it was a little baby runway. She thought it was the coolest thing in the world. When she started to get in the way, I found it time to postpone finishing till after bedtime.

Monday:
It's our first day home, and we have a lot to do. We have to go pick up Honey and also go to the grocery store to get something to make it through till Wednesday, when I do all the big grocery shopping. So, having a lot to do, I got the kids up a little earlier than the 8:00 rising time, and tried to get out of the house before 8:30. I think we did okay. Annabelle had no interest in eating pears for breakfast, and showed this by throwing them all on the floor. She did though, decide she wanted butternut squash and green beans. Whatever works!
We left to get Honey and Annabelle fell asleep in the car on the way, and then she woke as I was loading Honey in the car. Annabelle let out a huge scream in excitement and stretched out her arms towards Honey. I think she really missed her. I was really sweet to see.
Her diaper was still dry by the time we got home, so I took her in to go potty, she did. I've moved her potty into Liam's bathroom so hopefully in the very near future I can transition to the potty seat that attaches to the bigger toilet, which then will mean I can transition to public potty using, which means no more diapers sooner! We did some grocery store shopping, and then, after we got home, she used it again in Liam's bathroom.
We were home in time for lunch and nap. Her bottle nipples have started to wear, so I've bought her some fast flow nipples which I'm hoping she will be able to use, because they don't wear as badly. The first drink before nap kinda caught her off guard, but after that, she was fine.
Sunday:
We hung out at Gigi and Papa's before we had to take off back home to Austin. While we were in the den, I was sitting on the couch, and Annabelle came over to me and climbed right up into my lap on the couch. Like it was nothing. She's really becoming very determined to get places and do things. I know it won't be long till I'm going to have to utilize the baby gates more at home.
On the way home, Annabelle had what seemed to be the poop that lasted forever. Each time we thought she was done, she had more. I think it may have been the vibration of the car, or maybe the sitting still that kept things coming. Poor baby. Traveling in general usually causes some kind of constipation with her, and I'm pretty sure she will level out after we are home for a day or so.
Other than the poop, she was pretty great the whole way. Around the time we got to North Austin, both the kids were getting pretty antsy. This is when I busted out the books and one by one, passed a book to Liam, then to Annabelle, then another, then another, till we went through them all. It's a good thing we brought a ten or fifteen books.

Saturday:
During the Liam birthday present opening, Aunt Nancy didn't want Annabelle to feel left out, so she got Annabelle a present for her own. It was a little toy phone, with one button on it. I think Liam found it way more exci
I went for a run in the evening around 9:00, and when I got back, Phillip told me that he heard some noise coming from the kids' room, and when he went back there, he found Liam over by Annabelle's bed, her standing up and both of them giggling and playing. He was upset at first and told them both to go back to bed and re-swaddled Annabelle. After talking about it, we both agreed it was pretty funny.

Friday:
We got up this morning and after breakfast, headed to pick up Mimi. On the way, Annabelle drank her bottle, which I've noticed if we don't get home within about a half hour, she would inevitably go in her diaper. I think what I may do is start trying to get her to use the potty seat at home on the toilet, and then take that with me when I go out, so that she will use public restrooms too.
Annabelle was a little nervous around Mimi at first, and then after we got home, warmed up to her nicely.
She and Liam played in his bed for a while, which was really cute. Liam would get in and settle down and Annabelle would crawl in and wallow and giggle all around. Liam thought it was really funny.
I could tell she was getting tired because she would come up to me in the kitchen when I was rinsing dishes and would stand up behind me, clinging on the back of my legs fussing. Once she saw her bottle, that was all she wanted. She drank most of it, and then I put her down.
After nap, we went swimming. Annabelle has all the excitement of the pool Liam never did.
We went to just sit and put our feet in at first and after Annabelle felt the water, she wanted to dive right in. Of course I didn't let her, which made her mad. After a few minutes, we went inside to get our swim suits on and then went back out to have some real fun. Annabelle loved it! We put her in the kid floaty-boat-thing, and she would kick and scream and smile in pure thrill. In it, it had little yellow and blue floaty-balls which she kept trying to eat, and ended up drinking and swallowing and choking on water. I think she finally decided to stop that. I took her out off and on, and and she kept trying to leap out of my arms. Liam was in the airplane-floaty-thing, and then I put Annabelle behind him. That was really cute, but needed constant supervision since she, at one point, jumped out of it in the water. I was standing right there luckily. All and all, she had a blast and I'm sure there will be more pooling in the future for her.
We came in and she had some milk, and then got very cranky. Mimi and I both noticed that she looked pretty tired, so Mimi took her into the den, where she sat next to her, singing, and Annabelle's eyes got droopier and droopier. She wasn't falling asleep, and Mimi then went to the rocking chair, where it wasn't long till Annabelle was out. It was sweet.
She woke, in a much better mood. Then.....her Daddy came home. She got all excited when she saw him, and as soon as he walked out of the room, began to get red faced and cry. She really missed him. Phillip came back in and picked her put and she laid her little head down on his shoulder and just loved on him as he held her. It was so sweet to watch. She could barely keep her eyes off him, and kept trying to climb in his lap all evening. She really is a Daddy's girl.

Thursday:
We had breakfast at IHOP this morning, and Annabelle had fruit, and I think was very jealous of Liam's egg and pancake. I can't wait till she's old enough for eggs. She kinda eats egg yolks now, and the whites, since they contain all the allergens, are recommended to be given after their first birthday, which is hard to believe is right around the corner.
We did some more errand running, and then came home to put the kids down for nap, and while they were napping, we decided we should head out to Target to get a couple outfits for the kids to wear to take pictures in. Specifically one for Papa's picture frame we got him for his birthday.
So we got a couple outfits, and then went outside to take pictures. I had both the kids sitting on a rock out back, which proved to be all too exciting for Annabelle to focus on the picture taking. She instead would rather pick up rocks and twigs and straw from the ground and not look at the camera at all. So we moved inside. We went to the bench in Gigi and Papa's living room. Liam would sit on it and smile nicely, and Annabelle just wanted to stand and bounce, holding onto the arm of the bench. Luckily, we caught one good picture, and that was enough.
We had dinner, where Annabelle took a huge poop, and then she went to bed a little after 8:00.

Wednesday:
We woke, went down for breakfast, and then got ready to head out to the cemetery for the burial. Luckily, it was perfect time for Annabelle to nap, so she was of no disturbance to the events going on.
Once we got home, Annabelle used the potty, and snacked a little on cherries, but since it was early, I thought it may be a good idea to have the kids nap. Annabelle slept for a couple hours, which was really great. She woke up, in a great mood, had dinner, a yell fest with Liam, and then played for bit, and was in great spirits the whole time. At one point, she crawled over to the potty and tried to climb on. Mona asked if she wanted me to put her on, I said sure, and she went pee! It's nice to know we are at or nearing to stage where when she needs to go, she goes over to climb on to signal she needs to. It will be really great when she can climb on herself! In time....
She had a bath in Gigi's bath tub, and she and Gigi hung out in the bathroom while I bathed Liam. Liam, was laying back as I wet his hair, with a very nervous demeanor, and then Annabelle hit the jet button on the side of the tub and blasted us all. Liam didn't like this, Gigi and I thought it was funny that she did it, and Annabelle, after recovering from the shock of it, kept going to back to it to do it again. She's much more the adrenaline rush seeker than Liam.
We hung out a bit longer, then Annabelle had her bottle, and sleepily, laid in her bed as I swaddled her and went to sleep. Busy day, hopefully means a restful night.

Tuesday:
We woke this morning to get ready to go to the service for Mudder funeral. I wore Annabelle in the wrap, which proved to be a great idea, because she slept the majority of the service and never uttered a peep. After the service, we went to eat, where Annabelle ate some peas and green beans in the wrap.
We got home in enough time to throw the wrap in the wash before we headed out to Sulpher Springs where we were staying in a hotel before the morning of the burial. Annabelle and Liam stayed with Gigi and Papa while Phillip and I went out for dinner. When we got back, we met them in Nana and Padad's room where we visited with them and Aunt Nancy for a bit. Mona told me how she was sitting on the floor playing with Berklee, and Berklee headed over to her lap, but once Annabelle saw, she promptly headed over and climbed in her Gigi's lap and sat. She's a little territorial.

Monday:
We started the trip up to Dallas this evening after Phillip got off work, and around the time we got about three quarters of the way there in Italy, TX, Annabelle had a huge poop. It was the nastiest I have changed in a while. I'm glad we were in disposables so I could just throw it away. It went int the trash, along with her onsie, that got tainted as well.
We got to Gigi and Papa's well after dark, and the kids were up for a bit and then they went to bed, with little fuss, and slept all night.

Sunday:
Annabelle got dressed up in the cutest dress today for church. It's one that Gigi had bought her and looks like a little flapper dress from past decades. I'm glad I snapped a few pictures of it. She again, was dry when we got home from church and promptly went on the potty when I sat her on it.
Nothing too exciting happened for the rest of the day, we did bath and bed and that was that.

Saturday:
I took Annabelle to the ICAN meeting today while Liam stayed home. Twice, she went from sitting, to falling back and hitting her head on the floor. I think she is trying to rock like she does in her high chair, but then she notices that there is no chair there. Sadly, this is noticed after the impact of her head to the floor. Of course she let out a big cry each time, which I don't blame, she hit very hard. That was the down side to the meeting for her. Other than that, she crawled around to the other kids, specifically a baby who was just five weeks old. She had a lot of interest in him. After that, she had a nap in the wrap, and then after we got home, lunch and then another nap.
At dinner, it was the first night that I decided to skip the high chair tray and gave her Liam's place-mat. I figured the place-mat would be easier to clean than the high chair tray, which is big and bulking and quite awkwardly fits in the sink when it comes time to clean it. So, I thought the mat would be easier, and maybe a little neater too. It was still a huge mess nonetheless. She also kept trying to pull it up, which was kinda annoying. She's started throwing food on the floor too, and once she does this, I assume she must be done with dinner, so I've started putting her down out of her high chair. Tonight, after she was down, she found much amusement in crawling under the table, standing up, walking from one person to the next and giggling each time she got to another person. Liam thought this was really funny too. I think at one point she bit, licked or somehow put her mouth on his leg and he laughed and said, "Anbel licked me!" Crazy kids.

Friday:
We went over to another mom's house today who I'm helping potty train her twins. Her little girl is also named Annabelle and it was funny to watch both of them respond when their name was called. I took over my Annabelle's potty so she could use it there. Surprisingly, she did! She had yet to use the potty at someone else's house, so I was very happy to see she did use it. Maybe it was due to all the potty talk we were already doing. I'm happy though. Big milestone in the potty training department.
Annabelle has also started standing up by herself, without holding onto anything. She does it ever so carefully, and has the greatest look of pride on her face when she lowers back down to sit. She only holds it for a few seconds, but that is enough to make us all proud of her.

Thursday:
Since I did laundry on Monday to catch up, there really isn't much to do today. So, I've taken to focusing back on Anbel's potty training. She peed on me today while we were in the rocking chair which she has never done before. Luckily, I caught it before she finished so she could finish in the potty. Then later today, As she stood by the chase chair in the living room, she let out a primal grunt and I tried to rush her to the potty so she could poop, and on the way of the transition, part of it dropped off on her hiney. I was a little irked because I knew I would have poop to clean up off the floor after she was done on the potty, but once I looked back and saw where it was, I couldn't help but let out a laugh. Liam was standing there over it, as the poop log laid right across her baby doll's face. "Anbel poop on baby!" I had to send a picture to Phillip, I knew he would get a laugh out of it. Typically, I wouldn't put poop pictures on their blogs, but...considering the humor in it, and considering how parenting, you have to laugh when you can, I couldn't resist.

Wednesday:
We of course did our grocery storing today. Which I was really surprised we got finished with by 11:00. We had a meeting in Cedar Park at 1:30, so we had just enough time to eat lunch and shower by the time we had to leave again. I was dreading the fact that the kids were going to skip their nap, and only nap in the car. It turned out they napped about an hour total in their car seats as we drove and as we waited for the other doula to show up. So I guess that worked out nicely.

July 27-August 2, 2011
Wednesday-Tuesday:
I had another birth on Wednesday and then I rested a bit on Thursday before I had to get ready for another on Friday, which lead me home early Saturday morning. Thank goodness for great childcare! I had Frances come over on Wednesday, and then relieved her with my parents and then Phillip was off on Friday, so he took over for the house hold. Phillip happened to be coming off a 10-day-stretch at work, so both of us are kinda fried when it comes to trying to remember stuff that happened specifically pertaining to the kids. So we are going to do the best we can.
Saturday was Liam's birthday, and we had some ice cream cake at the house and sang Happy Birthday, and Annabelle just watched us as we all ate cake. I don't think she minded as much as one would think, since she really doesn't know what she is missing and she was pretty full on dinner already.
Sunday I had a few appointments, so Phillip was with the kids in the afternoon. He let me know of an earth-shattering poop she did that, to his description looked like that of Migas. He gagged several times, and almost puked and tried to get Liam's assistance in getting it cleaned up, but I don't think he was much help in that department. She does have crazy poop sometimes. I gave her black raspberries this week and when it came out the other end, was almost black. Gross.
Monday I made it a point no to leave the house so that I could just get house stuff done and hang with the kids, which was really nice. Annabelle threw a fit when I wouldn't let her in the bathroom while I was cleaning it, and she slammed open the door and caused the shower curtain to fall, which in turn, caused her to cry. Too much noise in the small space of the kid bathroom. I think we were all glad when I was done cleaning it.
Today, I left early in the morning before the kids woke for a potty training appointment, which I'm going to take the kids with me for now on. And Nanny Sharron said that they both slept till 8:20. Of course that happens when I'm not there. After, the kids and I went to Central Market to meet with a doula and her kiddos and then to the CTDA meeting, where Annabelle was happy to crawl around and meet everyone smiling and inevitability making them smile. She was whipped by the time it was done and was all jello-y falling asleep in the wrap. I was hoping she wouldn't nap long so that she would still take a longer nap in the afternoon while I was gone. I really don't like being gone when they are awake. I don't mind it when they are sleeping, because I don't feel like I'm missing anything, or they are missing me.
After I got back, they had just woken shortly before, and after Sharron left, we all
four hung out in the bedroom while I tried to make a grocery list. Annabelle was all but helpful in this. Liam had brought the two kid chairs for them to play in and after they were pushed up next to the window behind the curtain with Annabelle standing on one (under my supervision of course), it turned into a game of peek-a-boo. Liam would hide behind the curtain and she would pull it away from his face and he'd yell some loud incomprehensible toddler verbiage. She loved it, so did he. They would let out a loud laugh each time. I love the bond they have with each other. They are so sweet.
